I really think depression should be discussed in High Schools. The earlier we teach kids that depression is a horrible disease and to talk to them about it is to gain some control over it. Having any mental illness should be discussed just like diabetes and heart disease. We are still in the dark ages when it comes to all we know about this. I am so very sorry for your loss.

My son who passed by suicide at 13 yrs old 2/15/12 was also my only child. I swear it's as if you took the words out of my mouth and wrote them. I am so sorry for your loss.

OMG! That was beautifully written. I also have not been angry with my husband - just my situation.

Beautifully said. So sorry...

I COMPLETELY agree with your thoughts. I have never felt anger towards my husband. This disease took his life, not himself. He was never a selfish person, never irrational or hurtful. He became ill with a terminal disease. How very sad and tragic. Thank you for writing so eloquently.
